Does anyone here get worse in relation to stress?

Depends on how you interpret "in relation to stress". Exertion causes stress so anyone who experiences PEM have an increase of symptoms after stress. Whether there's direct relation between the stress and the symptoms , I guess noone knows for sure yet.

    Use of antidepressants for/with ME/CFS?

I've been on sertraline for about a month, and recently on venlafaxine for 5 weeks. Not only they didn't help but I was feeling really bad on them. Venlafaxine was much worse.

    Venlafaxine (Velaxin, Effexor)

@NelliePledge I don't intend going to the psychiatrist again because it's 4 hours waiting each time (and it's a bit noisy there) and it's just not possible for me. The few times I went, my mother was waiting for me there and then called me when my turn was close (we live near the hospital), and...

    Venlafaxine (Velaxin, Effexor)

It's absolutely what happened. My body was telling me to lie down because I feel sick, and on the other side the raised norepinephrine was forcing me to act, do something all the time. It was really exhausting. I didn't crash, fortunately, but was feeling much worse then usual. I don't mind...

    Pseudobulbar affect anyone?

This sounds horrible and creepy. I don't have this condition but I know to some point what you're going through because I'm also suppressing my laughter due to hypersensitive esophagus.

    Venlafaxine (Velaxin, Effexor)

Stopping venlafaxine seems to be serious sh*t, as you said. Even though I only took it for two months. It's one thing to hear it and another to experience it. As I like to experiment I tried to stop it cold turkey but couldn't endure the second night. And it was necessary to reinstate. My plan...

    Venlafaxine (Velaxin, Effexor)

Venlafaxine is SNRI , and in high doses even SNDRI (serotonin-norepinephrine-dopamine reuptake inhibitor) so it's even worse. I wake up every night around 2-3 am. Fortunately I usually get asleep again about 6 am.

    Venlafaxine (Velaxin, Effexor)

I've been taking venlafaxine XR for 6 days, and today I increased the dose to 225 mg / day as prescribed. It seems to work well for depression and anxiety, however I'm getting tired much faster than usual. Before I was able to concentrate on some task for an hour or two , and after some break -...

Jarred Younger confirms neuroinflammation in brains of ME patients

Cort does a really good job on promoting M.E. dropping these bombs. I wish at least half of them were true though.

Whether to have a flu vaccination

From what I've learned vaccines are relatively safe. As with many medical interventions, there's a risk for small number of people suffering specific conditions, and it's unfortunate when such people haven't been adequately diagnosed and have been vaccinated nevertheless, and it has harmed them...

How to deal with Unexpected stresses

I can't even deal with expected stress, like I need to go now and translate real time for my mother and her tenants. Which is very stressful, because I'm brain fogged, in pain, and not had enough sleep. Good to know though, I'm not the only one to avoid conversations, I was starting to feel guilty.

Whether to have a flu vaccination

No, because I'm mostly housebound so at low risk, otherwise I probably would.

    ME in Bulgaria

Thanks Sly Saint, Mike wrote me on PR already. I told him I won't participate due to personal reasons, but I'm glad he's making this event and I'd be following it.

    Coping with hot weather

I have AC for the day but at night there's big difference in temperatures. It's hot until 4-5 am, then it suddenly becomes cold. So if I set AC to lower temperatures, I wake up about 4-5 am, and if I raise the temperature a little then I just can't sleep until 4-5 am. So I haven't slept for more...

    Stamina levels before ME/CFS?

I wouldn't work for 12 hours even if I was healthy, and even if it was my own company. 8 hours maximum. I don't know if I could do it, probably, but it wouldn't have been easy. Other than that I used to cycle regularly, I've cycled 60 kilometers a few times, and I've run 10 kilometers twice.

Tick bites may be preventable with Canadian invention

I got bitten by one for the first time a few days ago. I was feeling better and went to the forest to walk a kilometer or two, but the weather was rainy and the ticks are active when it's raining. I was wearing long trousers and only stopped once in the forest for just a while to tie my shoes...

Facebook question: How can I create an ad targeted at people interested in myalgic encephalomyelitis or Chronic fatigue syndrome?

As far as I can see, you can create audiences targeted by interest, but you're limited to the interests listed on facebook (which are general topics only and CFS is not among them) You can't input custom tags, unfortunately.

The missing link: why disabled people can’t afford to #DeleteFacebook

OK that counts too but I meant in the context of #DeleteFacebook movement. I think most of the people are just threatening, but in the end almost no one will delete their facebook account.
