Of course, there wouldn´t be a knowing the cure. But they could be clever enough to know a hypothesis. And this could be interesting because such a hypothesis might include a mechanism for exertional intolerance. The point is that researcher at start here in all this GET stuff in fact don´t...

PEM induced only by sensory/cognitive exertion - what does it indicate about the pathophysiology of ME?

What you say would be my point a), so: No, per definition it would be for each cell within normal biochemistrical range, only for the whole it wouldn´t.

PEM induced only by sensory/cognitive exertion - what does it indicate about the pathophysiology of ME?

My money is on that it´s a brain disease. Then there are two possibilities: a) something is wrong in certain cells. b) only a whole network has come out of a proper shape. In case the disease originates in the nerves, b) may be principally fixable by patients themselves. One would only need...

How pandemics strengthen links between viruses and autoimmunity

some further details, if it is worth to have a look. from the Discussion (my bold) In the first chapter of the Results they describe how they discovered the Mn-dependency (my bold)

How pandemics strengthen links between viruses and autoimmunity

Maybe the following two articles could provide a route? Even in generell?? I though don´t know how T-cells and B-cells are linked to each other - A manganese-rich enviroment supports superoxide dismutase activity in a Lyme disease pathogen, Borrelia Burgdorferi Aguirre et al 2013 Discussion...

Effect of Melatonin Plus Zinc Supplementation on Fatigue Perception in ME/CFS: A Randomized, Double-Blind,Placebo-Controlled Trial,2021,Castro-Marrero

Well, I wanted to principially say, that a supplement might induce a change in any functional unit (e.g. in a single pathway) without that the body suffers from any deficiency. Everything would have functioned as it has been purposely designed by nature. Otherwise your post is sensible.

Effect of Melatonin Plus Zinc Supplementation on Fatigue Perception in ME/CFS: A Randomized, Double-Blind,Placebo-Controlled Trial,2021,Castro-Marrero

It might induce a change which would not be achieved by normal levels (which are themselves induced by the body working as usual). In case that triggers for MR/CFS might have done such changes, it looks even reasonable. It may be complex though, cf. combinatorics.

Effect of Melatonin Plus Zinc Supplementation on Fatigue Perception in ME/CFS: A Randomized, Double-Blind,Placebo-Controlled Trial,2021,Castro-Marrero

You might see though the difference between a laugh and a perception of a laugh, as for sure some even would be keen of indeed. But the machinery of immediate estimation of the ability to walk can be ill nevertheless, in so far it would be dangerous to rely on the physical ability. The problem...

Effect of Melatonin Plus Zinc Supplementation on Fatigue Perception in ME/CFS: A Randomized, Double-Blind,Placebo-Controlled Trial,2021,Castro-Marrero

To be exact: no. Its not, true, about physical lack of energy or so, say in the muscles, but about the sensory data. And these data are - as data of pain are - no self judgements, although only accessable via self-judgements (from the patients, and this will not be sidestepped in the nearer...

Effect of Melatonin Plus Zinc Supplementation on Fatigue Perception in ME/CFS: A Randomized, Double-Blind,Placebo-Controlled Trial,2021,Castro-Marrero

Exactly, I´d say. Fatique is nothing that is perceived, as pain is not. It´s instead on the site of perception itself. But they might have wanted to convey that there is no physical correlate for the fatique, and this thought would/could be right. Being exact with terms though should be seen...

Functional neurological disorder: A practical guide to an elusive Dx, 2021, Clemente Fuentes et al

Thanks God, although the last open access paper on FND (which I had printed out then) was absolutely without any content.

Aerobic pyruvate metabolism sensitizes cells to ferroptosis primed by GSH depletion, 2021, Vuckovic et al

Although I don´t understand all details, it seems very interesting. For readability: which is not really a surprise, it has been noted that superoxide is actively produced, and as a byproduct unimportant, quantity-wise. Though can´t provide the sources right now.

And they begin in such a nice manner: "high quality" should well include also to go through open questions and even contradictions, especially when they have already been discussed. If not, it must be considered to be of low quality - Maybe I am naive, but the review is not much better done...

Persistent Suffering:The Serious Consequences of Sexual Violence against Women and Girls, Their Search for Inner Healing.., 2021, Sigurdardottir et al

I am a bit speechless, though not about the truth that us spoken out in this sentence. What btw seems often to be overlooked are the possibilities of abuse of boys (and even men) by women (in the proper sense of course only in children), though more difficult to conduct (I guess) of babies...

Central Sensitization in Neurological, Psychiatric, and Pain Disorders: A Multicenter Case-Controlled Study, Suzuki et al, 2021

Without hypothesis no science. Ok, here its more about the clinical picture which is given an underlying hypothetical vague mechanism, but I daresay, or I find, the guess is reasonable or at least reasonable enough. I agree, and there is all in all not much fantasy or imagination at work. As we...

Central Sensitization in Neurological, Psychiatric, and Pain Disorders: A Multicenter Case-Controlled Study, Suzuki et al, 2021

To my knowledge, the causes of any diseases her, interpreted as FND or CSS, is not known. Only b/c ME/CFS begins in about 66% of cases apparently with a trigger, it´s not excluded that eg depression is not a physiologically caused disease, or at least has physiological components (which may be...
