Coyne’s open letter to the National Health and Research Medical Centre (NHMRC) of Australia

I like that he mentioned MCRI, as they are highly respected in Australia and one of the authors of the pediatric primer is a researcher there (Katherine Rowe).

Submissions sought for special issue of International Journal of Clinical Medicine (IJCM) on "Chronic Fatigue Syndrome"

@Woolie no I don’t think so, as it’s an extensive review document. The message I received specifically said there was an issue with the Frontier journal, but I can’t imagine why as it’s legit???

Submissions sought for special issue of International Journal of Clinical Medicine (IJCM) on "Chronic Fatigue Syndrome"

Thank you so much @Aroa, that information is EXACTLY what I'm looking for!! Do you have a reference/link where I can find the Metabolomics Q&A please? Thanks @Gingergrrl, yes allergy is measured by IgE, but I don't know how reliable it is for us as my daughter has a cat allergy. While an...

IgG - what is it good for?

IgG is used to measure the response to a vaccine (eg. PPV23) to assess for potential immunodeficiency in the case of recurrent infections. IgG is used to determine viral reactivation (eg. EBV). But IgG is not a determinant of “allergy”. Is anyone able to explain what sort of immune reaction...

Conversion disorder: The mysterious condition dogged by doubt and stigma

Concerned that ignorant and arrogant GPs will now feel they can diagnose "conversion disorders" in vulnerable people without having done any tests and without referring to a specialist:
