Does anybody else walk as though they're drunk?

B12 definitely helped me when I started having that issue. It seems to help with what I would call 'dexterity' I guess. I use the adenosylcobalamin form, and sometimes the hydroxycobalamin. Methyl-B12 is too stimulating.

Poll: When during the day do you have the most energy? That is when you are not in relapse, and not sick with the flu

The last time I had it checked, yes, it was too low at 8am, the spiked too high at noon, then started coming down towards 'normal' at 4pm, but was still maybe a little higher than it should've been at midnight. I'm not sure how many things cortisol influences, but I feel just almost...

Poll: When during the day do you have the most energy? That is when you are not in relapse, and not sick with the flu

Curious if you've tried skipping the coffee to see what kind of difference you experience?

Are there probiotics that PWME should avoid?

Yes. Ken Lassesen states that PWME should (in general) avoid l. acidophilus, as they were high in the two studies he uses for his model. Don't have the studies at hand right now, but on this page from 2013 he gives his reasons why, mainly because it lowers the beneficial e.coli, something...

Poll: When during the day do you have the most energy? That is when you are not in relapse, and not sick with the flu

There was a poll similar to this on the 'other site', and the last I checked about 75-80% were worse in the morning, and better later in the day. I don't start to feel "better", until about 3pm or so, then have to take a nap after "lunch", then feel better after dinner, and by 11pm or so feel...

BBC: I made a film from my bed to prove my illness is real - Jen brea

I hear what you're saying @Barry and agree in general, but I guess for me, it reminds me of the "But you don't look sick!" criticisms we get from friends, family members, etc., especially when compared to the scene in the film when Jen is convulsing on the ground as her husband struggles to help...

Are PWME at greater risk of cardiovascular disease & diabetes? If so, what can we do about it?

"The findings that lower CoQ10 is an independent predictor of chronic heart failure (CHF) and mortality due to CHF may explain previous reports that the mean age of ME/CFS patients dying from CHF is 25 years younger than the age of those dying from CHF in the general population."...

BBC: I made a film from my bed to prove my illness is real - Jen brea

Hate to be the Danny-downer here... While it is a great review, especially coming from the BBC, and truly a GREAT documentary, the picture of Jen and her husband in bed (about halfway down the page) looks almost like an photo one would see in 'House Beautiful' or dare I say, Oprah's 'O'...

Gluten-sensitive? It may actually be a carb making you ill

There are also increasing numbers of studies that suggest specific probiotic strains may help reduce or prevent gluten/gliaden-related issues: http://cmr.asm.org/content/27/3/482.short https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/24483336 https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2453197/

Annie Hoppers Dynamic Neural Retraining System

It's basically the "Lightning Process", repackaged and re-branded so she can cash in, instead of just telling others what she did. https://multiplechemicalsensitivity.wordpress.com/2013/05/15/the-course-that-annie-hopper-did-to-cure-her-mcs/ Having said that, I do know a couple people who have...

Hypothesis piece by Amy Proal, a microbiologist with ME/CFS

I posted in response to this on the 'other forum' about a week ago. You can find a longer version there, but the concise takeaway is that Amy Proal is associated with Trevor Marshall* and the Marshall Protocol, which involves strictly avoiding any and all sunlight, even bright cloudy days, and...
