    Covid-19 vaccines and vaccinations

Surely it doesn't say what the headlines states at all. The headline would only appear to be true if you have the vaccine shots before catching covid. Surely this would dramatically reduce your chances of catching covid in the first place, making long covid less likely in that manner, possibly...

Trial Report A 6-month Ibudilast treatment regimen aimed to improve brain function in ME/CFS patients: A case study, 2023, Ziaja et al

Does it also treat bad breath? How about unattractiveness? Inability to catch fish on land?

New Alcohol Sensitivity in Patients With Post-acute Sequelae of SARS-CoV-2 PASC: A Case Series, 2023, Eastin, Bonila et al.

I was also able to drink for many years after onset. I did frequently get a hangover about halfway through the first pint tho.....but I never let such things get in the way, at least for many years. I eventually pretty much stopped drinking at some point in the first decade of this...

People on long-term sick leave in England to be offered therapeutic recreation

I'd consider assisted dodo farming, as long as someone else dug the holes (to plant the eggs in) and took care of the irrigation. I suspect that come time to harvest to dodos I may have lost interest, depending on how long it takes to grow a dodo, or I'd need pretty good noise cancelling...

Effect of exposure-based vs traditional cognitive behavior therapy for [FM]: a two-site single-blind randomized controlled trial 2023 Hedman-Lagerlöf

Possibly a different insane treatment modality should be tried - OTH (Other People Hopping). Maybe trying OTH for 4 hours vs 23 hours and then giving the patient a questionnaire to record the effect of seeing other people hopping had on their symptoms. Or maybe OTH vs OPL (Other People...

England in biggest Covid wave in well over a year - and it's only just begun, Dec 2023, Prof. Christina Pagel

So.....basically that might translate to almost 1 in 4 people I may encounter whilst outside being ready, willing, and able to give me covid. However, at any one time at least 80%, and probably many more than that, of people are not outside to be meetable by me. So that possibly equates to...

UK: Disability benefits (UC, ESA and PIP) - news and updates 2023 (including government plans to scrap the work capability assessment)

So, as usual, what the DWP announces to the media, and what they actually do, are completely different things. Diametrically opposed things in this case. Almost as if they were telling porkies to the public. For some reason.

UK: Disability benefits (UC, ESA and PIP) - news and updates 2023 (including government plans to scrap the work capability assessment)

So.....as a person in the support group, on UC, who in the normal course of events is due for reassessment (my first assessment whilst on UC, my SG status having been awarded whilst on ESA and migrated to UC when I moved and was forced to claim UC) in August 2023, would it now be reasonable for...

Air Fryer worth it at all for someone with severe ME?

Is it still expertise if it's just me living far too long, at the same time as making a lot of 'mistakes'?

Air Fryer worth it at all for someone with severe ME?

Air fryers have fans. Fans can lift anything in a small enclosed space that isn't well held down. Sort of a hovercraft effect. Lifting things involves them going up, towards the fan, and elements. Foil conducts electricity. If you will be weighting things down then the paper airfryer...

Air Fryer worth it at all for someone with severe ME?

I have tried a few types, and have on occasion been severe. Number one requirement - auto off - that is it turns itself off when the time expires (number 2 requirement - must have a timer ;)) Easy to clean means almost impossible unless you spend up to 30 minutes every single time it's used...

Spatial distributions of white matter hyperintensities on brain MRI: a pooled analysis…, 2023, Coenen et al.

Really quite impressed by the quality and probable internal consistency of this, from my perspective, totally impenetrable gibberish. Top work.

UK: Disability benefits (UC, ESA and PIP) - news and updates 2023 (including government plans to scrap the work capability assessment)

Of course ESA to UC migration is unsafe for vulnerable claimants. It took 3 months to sort out and it is not possible to do unless you can use both telephone and Internet, on demand.......and they do. They also tried to diddle me (polite way of putting it) out of 5 weeks of sg payments. UC sg...

UK: Disability benefits (UC, ESA and PIP) - news and updates 2023 (including government plans to scrap the work capability assessment)

The only potentially positive point for me is the local housing rate is now unfrozen. This might result, if the rent can be increased to the 30th percentile, in my sister getting nearly 50 percent more rent. That's the difference between the market rent and the LHA rate here. So it not...
