    Measuring dietary intake

Such things become all consuming - there is no time to eat, or do anything else, while trying to remember/time things - and things get missed, days get horribly distorted. It is not a nice way to live.

Petition: End assessments and consider disability benefit claims on medical advice alone

This'd be the same 'medical staff' that post on reddit and other places openly giving their real opinions as to patients and medical conditions, which are often at best dismissive and at variance with our reality? These same people, who apparently despise us, should decide if we live or die...

Can psychiatry make medicine better? Michael Sharpe, 29 Nov 2022

Psychiatry has sod all to do with medicine, in the same way as whale songs have sod all to do with accountancy. So my answer would be 'No'.

Chronic illness makes UK workforce the sickest in developed world

But.....this cannot be......we had a world beating approach to covid...we were told......by a 'man'. Better than anywhere else, faster than anywhere else, just better, in every way. As implemented, as instructed by our leaders, by the best health service in the world, envied by the whole...

Which end of the barrel is he claiming to have looked down tho. Barrels go 2 ways.

Multiple sclerosis sufferer waited more than a year to be diagnosed and suffered 'significant injustice'

My onset was in 1987. My diagnosis was in 2003. In the late 80s/early 90s I was seeing doctors/consultants/neurologists/psychologists/psychiatrists, and attending hospital clinics, in the vain hope of finding out what was wrong with me. The closest I got a being offered 'treatment' was a...

Closed UK: DecodeME updates, was recruitment thread.

It seems my DNA is not worthy. I, could have told them that, without a questionnaire :p (I'm assuming that my comorbidities disqualified me).

Crowdfunding: Trial By Error [David Tuller]: Reporting on ME, ME/CFS, long Covid, and "Medically Unexplained Symptoms", Oct 2022

Fairly sure i had one (letter) only a month or 2 back, and I'm also fairly sure that it wasn't the first this year. Emails seem to come in flurries from chancellor yada yada, and from another berkeley related source as well (separate from this fundraising thing), I will however, now, start...

The micro-clot finding in Long Covid — implications for the possible aetiology of ME/CFS

Well.....my response was 'WTF is natto' - I'm 56 (I think) and I've never heard of it. I did gather that at least one person considers it might be a type of food ;) It turns out that the reason I've never heard of it, when I have heard of many, many, types of food, is because I'm from the NE...

    Covid-19 vaccination experiences

So...an 'Accident and Emergency' department has told people involved in accidents, or who have a medical emergency, not to go there? That only people who are severely ill should go. I wonder, does having, say, a car accident, that results something unimportant, like a person's left leg, being...

Crowdfunding: Trial By Error [David Tuller]: Reporting on ME, ME/CFS, long Covid, and "Medically Unexplained Symptoms", Oct 2022

I didn't like to block them, or may have been more selective, as otherwise, how would I know I was supposed to donate ;)

Crowdfunding: Trial By Error [David Tuller]: Reporting on ME, ME/CFS, long Covid, and "Medically Unexplained Symptoms", Oct 2022

Yes. I suspect it's at least twice a year that a very high quality paper/card thing turns up here - once a few months before fundraising, and then again a few months after (but I could be wrong, I'm not really paying any attention to the fundraising cycles of a place thousands of miles away...

    Covid-19 vaccination experiences

But the weird dreams are the best part - not worth getting a booster without them ;) (Keto gave me similar dreams, for a while)

    Covid-19 vaccination experiences

Giving me pause re my getting a second booster. Got an email invite a couple of days ago. The speed things are progressing here I can't afford any significant downtime, on top of the 7-10 days that seems to occur every time I have the audacity to do something.

San Francisco Chronicle (opinion): Biden says the COVID pandemic is over. He could have fooled me

It doesn't make sense until it's appreciated that the biggest danger to public health is the sheer number of people, people going around doing things, producing things, consuming things, people simply existing. We have somehow managed to produce a system where a heavily armed psychopath living...

Long Covid in the media and social media 2022

I tried it about a decade or so ago, self referring. Took them a very long time to visit, around 18 months or so, and all that was on offer was a panic button, a few rails, and the 'gateway care' of someone to give me a shower (which would be a nice trick as I don't have one). If not prepared...

Landmark trial of NHS staff by King’s College London reveals promising solution to improve mental health

It's probably cheaper than doing even the bare minimum to temporarily improve even 5 minutes of someone's day. Quiet place, tea, cake - 10 minutes. Obviously, for overworked staff, in an under resourced system, it's just so much cheaper and easier to just send them a link in an email saying to...
