I'm amazed that the research teams have so many crystal balls...
Having studied dementia for my Masters degree I am all too aware of the flaws in that research. Don't expect effective treatments for that in the near future.
I've managed to make 2 payments via direct use of my account. I haven't used PayPal for years, so managed to pay direct from my bank account, using Google translate on another page to figure out what the various terms meant! Only gave 100 the first time as didn't know the currency, but used...
I was studying with the Open University in 1996 when I attempted suicide due to ME and the suspicious disappearances of two of my cats.
I had to take a year out, and then took it up again. I got my first degree but not the grade I wanted, probably due to disruption due to work being done on my...
I've just been checking, and found that the wrist which becomes numb is the same one that I broke some years ago, so maybe the numbness is due to that.
I'm still not sure why it varies the way it does.
For the last few years my right hand has been going numb every day. It starts when in bed in the morning, and I often feel that it is a sign that I need to defecate, but I don't always defecate soon after it starts.
It's not there when I first wake, but it comes soon after, and is present at...
My high blood pressure appeared to have been due to a tooth infection. When I had the infected tooth removed, my bp returned to normal.
Also my excessive urine production stopped at the same time.
I had suffered both conditions for years.

I gained my Open University degrees while suffering from ME, apart from the first year when I attempted suicide and then had to take a year off.
I don't know how I managed it now! (I am 72, and finished my Masters degree in 2003.)
I took most of my exams at home with an invigilator. That was...
I'm not surprised. Here is a message I wrote in 2018 after one by Arnie Pye who said "They were in many places a complete fiction.":
"So are mine. This is from an entry of mine on Phoenix Rising from 2015:
"I had to fight hard to get copies of my notes sent to me. I got a batch from the...
It's really good, @Maat. There are a few small errors, but I'm not really up to going through in detail - hopefully soon others will.
I'm really sorry you're so ill.
I've done the ACTH stimulation test which came back normal, but I do (often) have insomnia. Also, during the test, my gut swelled up severely, I think because I was told to sit still, and it was very uncomfortable.
