Thesis Distress and coping in ME/CFS: Understanding the role of perfectionism and self-compassion, 2022, Houston

True, though I'd consider it a kindness not to be subjected to their treatment scheme. The woman was sort of in charge of the household, she wasn't involved in any of the therapy btw. But the more I think about it the more bonkers stuff comes up from my time there from basically everyone...

The Netherlands ME/CFS Cohort and Biobank (NMCB) consortium

I actually am disproportionally moody when I've strayed from my diet. It does things to my gut and it pushes brain fog to greater heights. The difficulty expressing myself and being prone to all sorts of sensitivities like sound make me lash out to people close to me. It's got nothing to do with...

I think Monty Python could make a brilliant movie out of this bullshit.

Thanks Andy, it's nice to see work been done from my country. I do wonder if they're not late to the party with some of those studies.

WASF3 disrupts mitochondrial respiration and may mediate exercise intolerance in myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome, 2023 Hwang et al

Dunno, think it wouldn't be hard for him to set up a filter if it gets too distracting. And I'd imagine it's nice to be appreciated.

The Netherlands - €28.5 million ME/CFS research program - ZonMW funding awards announced April 2023

Also, as with all these sorts of posts. If you're well enough to leave a comment and possibly retweet that would be hugely helpful. The algorithm pushes up posts that are liked, but exponentially more if they're retweeted or commented on.

The Netherlands - €28.5 million ME/CFS research program - ZonMW funding awards announced April 2023

A Dutch member of parliament is raising a request to make 4.4 million euro's extra available for biomedical research. It's to make up for the 4.4 million euro's that wasn't adequately spent on the Lifelines-project.

Thesis Distress and coping in ME/CFS: Understanding the role of perfectionism and self-compassion, 2022, Houston

It's par for the course really. I know people that got a PhD in psychology and even they admit it's all about finding labels for character trait and that you could basically label anyone with something. Some of her professors even admitted so. Psychology as a profession has exploded somewhat in...

Thesis Distress and coping in ME/CFS: Understanding the role of perfectionism and self-compassion, 2022, Houston

I think it's something they tell patients to make them feel good about themselves. When I entered the course of CBT/GET in NL I got told I had perfectionist traits and that that was holding me back. Which in fact did make me think better about myself for a short while. I was a lazy sob as a...

WASF3 disrupts mitochondrial respiration and may mediate exercise intolerance in myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome, 2023 Hwang et al

Very good question that I don't have an exact answer too. It's been about 13 years ago that I've stopped playing and at the time I didn't know about PEM, so I don't think I took much notice.

I've played soccer/football for a number of years after I've got diagnosed and feeling flat turned into feeling like garbage at some point.

    Mike's EU Marathons

I think the further you go down the equator the more the weather shifts to similar patterns as in here again. At least that's according to two Argentinians I used to know! So with that n=2..

    Mike's EU Marathons

Good to hear, thanks again. I was wondering, do people contact you to run a marathon or do you go places on your own and contact people there?
