    Covid-19 vaccination experiences

Okay, the arm soreness is now just as bad as last time. (It's really not *bad* bad though, the vaccine is definitely worth it.)

    Covid-19 vaccination experiences

Pros of wearing a mask: I got vaccinated by one of the GP's that I don't like (big fan of the BPS model), and she didn't even recognise me. :emoji_dark_sunglasses:

    Covid-19 vaccination experiences

I got my second dose of Pfizer ~15 hours ago. So far, the side effects are *milder* than last time, contrary to what I was expecting. My arm hurts, but less badly than last time, and that's all.

Is catching Covid now better than more vaccine? BBC article

Dear god what an idiotic and irresponsible article. " "That means if you had a real humdinger of an infection, you may have better immunity to any new variants that pop up as you have immunity to more than just spike," said Prof Riley." Or you might die, Riley, but hey, I guess some people get...

Clare Gerada: influence on UK medical practice and ME/CFS management

Omg, I just had a scroll through her twitter feed and it's hilarious, she has pissed off a lot of people. I suspect she has also fallen out with Greenhalgh, too - Greenhalgh is a staunch proponent of masks meanwhile Clare has been posting idiotic tweets about masks!

Moved posts Something that I'm finding interesting is that, whilst Sharpe and Wessely and Gerada have either stayed quiet or supported the government and PHE's approach to the pandemic, Trisha Greenhalgh has been very vocal in criticising recent policy decisions. Regarding masks, restrictions...

    Open Medicine Foundation (OMF)

Thanks, I mean more in terms of the size of the salaries though? Personally I don't think anyone working for any charity should be earning a 6 figure salary.

    Open Medicine Foundation (OMF)

Well personally I don't think any charity should be giving out salaries that high.

In terms of what they're bringing in, that's hardly surprising that it was less during 2020, I believe charities in general have struggled during the pandemic as people are more cautious financially and often have less money at their disposal due to furlough etc. That... seems rather off re the...
