Sorry to hear the improvement was short lived, but very interested to hear the other stuff.
I have to admit ME to me feels like an infection of some sort that is lingering. Best month I’ve had since getting ME was the one after a week on antibiotics for an unrelated injury.
Mental health issues? Autism? Or really an infection causing changes to the brain?

Agree some speakers didn’t take the angle that might have been taken, if they had spent a few hours on S4ME, but considering the very many issues that MPs have to keep up to speed on, I think the debate went outstandingly well. :)
It was excellent, despite some MPs obviously feeling the time pressure as they spoke. Some very good speakers and points made.
I thought the response was less of a brush off than the last time. A bit more notice being taken.... but we’ll see where this all goes next I guess.

And the less seriously the doctor takes their patient’s symptoms (and the more the doctor trivialises those symptoms) the more the patient needs to protest. Thus the patient feels they must explain again and again that their symptoms are seriously affecting their lives.
So the doctors...
Of course there will be many stories. There might be a few food lobbies with vested interests in keeping the status quo with how the population eats.

Bust is less of a problem word than boom.
Boom implies excess by normal standards, and that is the problem. We don’t “boom”. We might gently live a little more than usual, but that’s hardly a “boom”!

Yes @Peter Trewhitt You are of course right there is much more going on with BPS research, beyond just this inability to listen. It was the passing thought that our BPS researchers treat our comments as though they can’t understand what we say - or put another way as if we are animals - that...
If certain researchers have a tendency to discount patient testimony, does that mean these researchers have the same problem as vets in discerning when a patient has been harmed or helped?
