I had this exact experience with a neurologist, i was describing my sleep symptoms (i forget which symptom, it was years ago) and he said thats not possible. And i was like well here i am.

Its an interesting angle to pursue, i think we should keep it in mind. It may also backfire because the scientists will just tell the authorities patients are out to get us and this is scientifically valid, both lies but coming from someone in power they might believe it without real research...
