I was concerned enough about yesterday's UK Covid infection numbers having gone up quite substantially, but today's announcement of nearly 3000 people testing positive in the past 24 hours compared with about half that a few days ago is really worrying. I hope there's some reasonable...

I'm becoming very concerned by reports coming out of the USA that there is pressure to get a vaccine out by the beginning of November (remind me what the election date is, please, someone?) Here's an example...
I know there's been quite a bit of speculation that Boris Johnson may have it, or at least not have recovered particularly well from the original illness.
If someone in his position were to discuss it publicly, people would certainly listen.
I don't suppose anyone's produced biodegradable ones yet, have they? Bad enough seeing all these discarded single-use masks lying around - we don't want the same with filters. (NB: Terracycle have launched a mask recycling scheme for ones used in non-medical situations)

This is sort of relevant, although it's approaching from entirely the diagonally opposite end of the spectrum, i.e. people who are "fit and healthy":

This one seems to be one of the more sensible accounts of the alleged case of reinfection with Covid-19 (two separate strains):
