There are also various clever devices for helping you get the darned things on and off (they are really tight, and not very stretchy) which I believe you can also get on prescription/the NHS. I was talking to the inventor of one of them a few years back, but I'm not sure I still have the details.
Having experience with Discord, I'm surprised pwME can cope with it. It drives me potty trying to work out who's replied to what, and the colours are horrendous.
That's not the ones I got - either length-wise or brand-wise. Mine just looked like thick pop-sox. The GP told me the prescription ones would be custom-made. Total rubbish.
Excellent information, Kitty and MEMarge, thank you. My caree is talking about getting a mobility scooter, so this might be useful for her. (Mobility Giant seems to be rather nearer Bat & Ball station than Westerham, though - which is a shame, as there's a bus to Westerham. Not that far as...

Wondering ... has anyone picked up yet on whether Omicron shows up more quickly after infection than previous variants? Just wondering if I need to change frequency/pattern of lateral flow testing, or anything like that.
I think they must have, because I got bumped up a couple of levels for the first two due to being a carer, but didn't get an invitation to book a booster until 7 months after my second jab.
BTW, a bit of information in relation to vaccines, boosters and Omicron (as we know at the moment)...
More of a general PIP-related article

I can't quote anything from it, but: 67% of decisions have been changed from the original one...
