Oops. I see that now on the clinicaltrials listing. It was not included in the new webpage or the email that the researcher sent me. I wonder if the criteria changed or if it's just a discrepancy between pages.
Yes, I understand completely. Apparently Fallon's group at Columbia also does clinical assessments with patients, which is interesting seeing as they are also on the forefront of the research.
In an ideal world I'd like to have one of the researchers from this paper attempt to culture the...
This study has been on my mind a lot recently and I thought maybe people want to discuss.
This is personally of interest to me since I test positive for this parasite. I am also a member of some online patient groups where nobody reports being able to fully eradicate it. From my observation, a...

The trial coordinator got back me to me super quickly. I don't think I am a good candidate for various reasons (I have already tried the drug, being the foremost) but I would consider participating otherwise.

I wonder if this is only because of COVID, or if they had trouble recruiting for the study in-person.

There are a lot of people suffering from chronic Lyme Disease who are banking on Azlocillin being a silver bullet cure. I am pretty skeptical.
I am really unclear as to why Azlocillin was chosen in this study, besides the fact that the researchers have a patent for its reformulation into an...

re: treatments, quoting the book:
I would attempt to summarize the Dr. Peterson chapter(s) but I don't want to get it wrong. I left with the feeling that Jamison was unimpressed, and the...
It seems like there are two topics at hand here, 1) the original request for a doctor that can do a remote consultation, and 2) a discussion of Jay Goldstein, who from what I've read online, certainly seems like an interesting guy and worthy of attention.
As for the original request that was...
Made even more confusing by the fact that "Kaiser", the HMO, is actually three distinct legal entities:

Gotta love the American health care system.
A few years ago when I had lower back issues, they basically told me to bugger off without even looking at my back or doing any scans. Now I know the issue... I was already taking antidepressants!
This article reads like they started with good intentions, interviewed Dr. Holladay (who from the looks of his website is someone who understands ME/CFS better than 99% of doctors out there), but then in the process of writing the article and then editing it for the web, it just devolved into...
