That little laugh from the female, right after the questions is asked - says it all, doesn't it...? :( It actually really got to me, stepping away from this thread for now.

I do agree, overall, but think this is just this years focus for applications? :) It's been focus on biology earlier years, rituximab, Liens lactate study, an unpublished immune study etc have gotten money. And I think it's good, to stimulate some research in symptoms relief now. Norwegian...

Illness duration, mood and symptom impact in adolescents with chronic fatigue syndrome/myalgic encephalomyelitis?, 2019, Neale et al

This isn't as bad as others looking into mood and ME. They are not making assumptions about causation. They are only observing that children who have been ill for longer before specialist assessment have more worries/mood issues. This mostly looks like presenting data for arguing for faster...

USA Centers for Disease Control (CDC) news (including ME/CFS Stakeholder Engagement and Communication Calls) - next call 4 Dec 2024

So, they don't have patients input when planning these things...? Wouldn't be surprised if they thought this would be well recieved - and that they were progressiv and 'on the edge' for promoting pacing, not that pesky cbt/get that patients get upset by  Completly missing that...

Michael Sharpe: Mind, Medicine and Morals: A Tale of Two Illnesses (2019) BMJ blog - and published responses

Oh, I'm so tired of this. After years of studying the condition, it's back to the same rethorics we've had going for years and years - that his science was supposed to find an answer for, one way or the other. Even if you know nothing about PACE, him not mentioning his main work sure would...
