UK - Resources for help getting food during quarantine and other supermarket related problems

My MP dropped off my sparkling water this morning, downstairs. I wish I'd been more specific. I usually use 500ml bottles because by the end of the day it is usually flat and I open a new one the next day. He's just delivered a 4 pack of 2 litre bottles. There is going to be many litres of...

How long has it been now? 3 weeks? I've lost count. How many of these missed out people are now in an absolute dire situation

I've just tried to access Morrison's general (not food box) and I've been placed in a 20 minute queue. Just to access the website! o_O It states on the queuing page that they have no delivery slots, and, the contact centre doesn't have access to them either. So I guess that their subtle hint to...

Well-known, famous people with Covid-19 and Long Covid

Or... As with many people with his attitude.. He could go the other way and come out of this with the attitude of 'I beat this deadly disease, so you can do the same with yours!' I've seen that happen a few times :cautious: I have faith in you Boris, that you will emerge from this a more...

    Shingles type pain...

Oh for crying out loud, it's back already, but back to a smaller patch like I used to get. I must have had a whole 5 hours reprieve. Bugger.

I really should have emailed him a photo of the food, as he may have no idea what is included. He most probably doesn't.

It's very annoying that PIP awards aren't being taken into consideration for these decisions. It's literally a case of if you're not on the list you can sod off and starve :banghead:

When my MP replied asking what groceries I need on Friday that weren't delivered with the food drop, I obviously didn't want to take the pi*s so I just mentioned that I need sparkling water in order to take some of my medicines and supplements that have either been powdered or in powder form or...

Are you in the vulnerable list @Wonko ? Or is it from contacting them? I still haven't posted my snail mail yet as I haven't been out. Based on replies, not sure it's worth the effort.

    Shingles type pain...

It's finally gone, phew!!! That was the largest area and longest time yet :cautious: All day yesterday all that was left was severe muscle ache in the areas directly under the area of skin that had the nerve pain. Very relieved it wasn't shingles, but hoping this doesn't become a regular thing...

The morrisons food box backlog appears to have cleared now. No more queues, straight in every time. It looks like this is going to have to be my main source of food now as I still haven't obtained a single food delivery slot from anywhere. I'll combine this with my meager weekly government hand...

Yeah it's got a 'desperately buying from a 24 hour garage at midnight in the olden days' feel about the prices :) Still an extra option for the emergency list. For some, sorry @Simbindi :(

Just had a crappy general reply from Tesco's helper of the CEO. Telling me how to create an online account (even though the email stated I've been an online customer for at least 12 years) Just got the usual crap about trying to improve slots by limiting people's orders to 80 items each...

UK: UC50 (Universal Credit) or PIP diary

I usually do this too, but on my last one I had a rare 'human' assessor. So I decided to make a complete fool of myself and try to speak some answers. It worked in my favour because he could see I was trying to comply, but he could also witness the deterioration before his eyes over a matter of...

UK: UC50 (Universal Credit) or PIP diary

I made up a table on my phone detailing every hour of the day. I think I used an example table from Benefits and Work forum and printed it off when it was completed. It was excruciatingly detailed on an hourly basis and I sent a sample of around 3-4 days worth of diary. I couldn't do any more...

Definitely no change. Apart from having a slightly unhealthy diet lately than what I would usually have due to no choice. Thank you! I completely forgot that term. I have looked it up in the past, I'll check it out  I don't know if the pregagablin is doing it's thing as it is...

Yeah I read that last night which helped a bit  ETA: though I do remember my dad having it on his left thigh when I was a kid. I'm definitely thinking ME related now (fingers crossed - I think )

    Shingles type pain...

Thank you  I definitely think it's an ME thing especially as I've had this kind of thing before. Just not to this scale. I noticed something odd 2 days ago that I sometimes get too which is an instant patch of goose pimples on one thigh (the one that has now flared up) under my clothes...

Definitely, the supermarkets are currently having a reshuffle of loyal customers based on their behaviours to them right now. Most people no longer have a loyalty to one or two supermarkets, their loyalty is to the ones that keep them alive the longest. It'll be interesting to see their...
