Article: qEEG Brain Research at DePaul University (Jason, Zinn) by Megan Doherty

So, I didn't understand it - what do theta waves mean when being awake? I'm interested, too.

Forskning.no (Norway) - ME-sick psychologist: I'm not the type to get ME, I thought

It is and it shows someone didn't think and/or understand, but this is nothing new when it comes to psychological words which so often have so many meanings...So, maybe he meant mind when he said brain, for him it's probably interchangeable...Who knows. Great post btw.

    Anti-convulsants - Pregabalin and Gabapentin

Thank you @adambeyoncelowe, for all this valuable information! Do you have experiences with Clonidine? Right now it sounds more interesting than Pegabaline. I have to look it up though... You're right @Helen, I should contact them again. I wrote two eMails to the professor, and I think she...

    Anti-convulsants - Pregabalin and Gabapentin

The clinic didn't reply! But maybe I should contact them again. The funny thing is they didn't tell me anything about possible side effects before the test, and afterwards they told me everything was normal. Not for me. I can't use the leg properly since then.

    Anti-convulsants - Pregabalin and Gabapentin

Thank you @adambeyoncelowe! Amitriptyline belongs to the class of anti-depressants, and these are contra-indicated in my case. But I also don't feel sure with Pregabalin. (Do I slightly recall GABA was elevated? Would that be a problem?) I am also not so sure if Amitriptyline is used for...

    Anti-convulsants - Pregabalin and Gabapentin

Hi all! Approximately 3 weeks ago I was at a neurological clinic where a nerve measurement was performed via "electric shocks". A day after this I had a bad pain in the leg that had been tested. It turned out this pain is neuropathic pain. I never had this kind of pain before. I fear this...

A unifying theory for cognitive abnormalities in functional neurological disorders, Fibromyalgia and CFS (2018), Mark J Edwards et al.

That's what I learned early on: functional = psychosomatic - all in your head. Interesting, though, that many/some doctors call epilepsy a functional disorder. I don't understand that fully.

WHO ME/CFS coding - April to May 2018

That's how I had it in mind - that at this point, it's frozen, but that there's a WHO review process going on, and the results might change the classification, but probably doesn't (due to a desired continuation in classification). Wrong? What I want to say is "we're not safe" from having ME...

WHO ME/CFS coding - April to May 2018

To be honest - I don't like dictatorships. And this Forward-ME thing sounds pretty much like "one boss, one say".

You can't found an organization - any organization - even if it's yours alone, and then put logos of other organizations on your site. The owner of the logo (or the organization behind it) has to agree, as a minimum (often there needs to be some sort of contract). Of course, there's no law...
