    I am pretty sure neuroinflammation is a consequence. I think the meninges work very hard to keep the agent out and that alarms the microglia.

    i can only tell what my experience is. I have the impression that after the first response the immune system focusses om the spot it is most needed. As if there are not enough resources to do it all.
