Cooking with Corona - coping with power cuts

Have you thought about alcohol or fuel tablet stoves used for ultralight camping? They would need plenty of ventilation and it’s only one burner but it would be enough to do one pot cooking and make tea on.

Apple Watch to add blood oxygen detection feature

It’s interesting that Apple seem to be taking the watch down the health monitoring and research path. Could make for a really useful device in the future.

Recommend soft safe earplugs, such as a soft medical grade silicone that immediately returns to its default manufactured shape [edited]

ME/SEID - a more accurate illness name than ME/CFS? (words only, nothing to do with diagnostic criteria)

Do we really though? I seriously doubt there’s been any chance and that’s why it hasn’t actually ever happened. It’s just a hamster wheel of arguments that distract from more important issues. Of course with this subject that’s also something people will never agree on so this is my last reply...

ME/SEID - a more accurate illness name than ME/CFS? (words only, nothing to do with diagnostic criteria)

On a practical level you have to consider whether something is even possible to achieve. Patients are heavily entrenched when it comes to names and words describing our condition. I simply don’t believe it’s possible to change how we label ourselves in great enough numbers to make any...

My body gets so hot over the last year, the worse I feel the worse the heat. I don’t have a temperature but I feel incredibly hot and my partner says she can feel the heat radiating off of me. It’s all very weird.

Coronavirus - worldwide spread and control

The one I use is a hand foam you apply before going out. It’s meant to stay as a coating on your hands for a few hours (or until you wash them) and kill viruses and bacteria you get on your hands. That’s the claim anyway. edited to add. I had a friend with a small microscope that was capable of...

Coronavirus - worldwide spread and control

Have to agree with this. As someone with personal experience of health anxiety the constant updates here with second by second reporting could be bad for some people’s mental health. A couple of people have already expressed that worry.

    Silent clock

Bose made some noise masking earbuds for sleeping that were excellent but unfortunately they found a huge flaw in the battery and they discontinued them. Ear plugs irritate my ears something terrible, whatever I use. :(
