Efficacy, side effects and withdrawal effects of carnitine

Thyroid hormone also plays an important role in carnitine-dependent fatty acid import and oxidation. In this case it seems if you are hypothyroid it might have a more positive effect on energy output?

Efficacy, side effects and withdrawal effects of carnitine

ALCAR and ALA noticeably improved my cognitive function years ago, but I'm not sure if it improved my physical energy. I had to discontinue after 3-4 months because it made me feel jittery and negatively affected my sleep.

Differentiating post-polio syndrome from myalgic encephalomyelitis and chronic fatigue syndrome, 2019, Jason et al

My impression based on Dr. Leonard Jason'd past questionnaires is that he did not fully understand PEM very well.

POTS – More Evidence That it is Autoimmune

Is POTS an Autoimmune Disorder? Autonomic experts now agree that positivity for ganglionic nicotinic antibodies at low titer (i.e., below 0.2 nmol/L) has no clinical relevance for POTS, as these can be detected in up to 5% of healthy controls...

    adverse reaction to antibiotics

@Nathalie Wright could it be the concussion that is making you feel worse atm? Or it could be 'die off' symptoms from taking the abxs? I was treated with abxs for h pylori many years ago and initially felt worse, but it only lasted a few days, and over the course of the next...

The role of low-grade inflammation in ME/CFS (Chronic Fatigue Syndrome) - associations with symptoms, 2019, Jonsjö et al

My understanding is that they are saying that sickness behaviours 'contribute' to ME symptoms. I tend to agree in my particular case because I experience both in almost 30 yrs.

Patients’ descriptions of relation between physical symptoms & negative emotions: a qualitative analysis of primary care consultations, 2019, Bekhuis

It's quite interesting when you pose the question to the GP regarding their own personal experiences. Using reverse psychology puts them very much on the defensive.

Action CIND Webinar: "Why Working out Doesn’t Work" by Workwell Foundation

This is one symptom that I've had for the entire length of my illnesses (almost 30 yrs). When I returned to work for a short period after my sudden viral onset, it was ataxia that set in way before the fatigue began and later relapse. I would walk home from work like a drunk, yet I had...

Action CIND Webinar: "Why Working out Doesn’t Work" by Workwell Foundation

I think this would make an interesting separate thread to explain your experiences in more detail. I'm very interested in learning different variations of PEM. I have not experienced long term slow PEM (over 4 days) because once it hits, I can no longer continue. Everything stops. Do...

"@JemPD I've walked into the wall several times because I couldn't coordinate my legs after socializing for a couple of hours". The CBT crowd would have a good time with that one- that I deliberately walk into walls for attention
