The biology of coronavirus COVID-19 - including research and treatments

The immune response to the vaccine might not last, and then we will need a booster shot monthly (twice?) or yearly? My second Hep B jab was the 'one' that negatively affected my stamina and brought me down.

The biology of coronavirus COVID-19 - including research and treatments

@Leila I'm not anti-vaxx either. But, during my sudden ME viral onset I was vaccinated x4 (!) within a 2 month period. It was terrible timing and I'll never know if that triggered ME. I have not had a vaccine since (28 years). My immune system feels like it has been over active...

The biology of coronavirus COVID-19 - including research and treatments

@Jonathan Edwards So wearing a mask is much better at preventing us from contracting the virus in the first place. Not as practical as getting a vaccine, but something I would prefer.

Does anyone have a list of common ME symptoms please?

The spinning type vertigo in my experience is a viral onset. I eventually stop spinning, but the equilibrium imbalances remain for several months. Since my onset was sudden viral vertigo, I think I may have some sort of injury in my vestibular system. The other equilibrium issues...

New Zealand Video: Exercise and ME/CFS, 2020, Lyn Hodges

Any type of exercise that causes PEM is not suitable. After many years, I'm still not confident that power walking (which I can do for an hour) is ok even though it doesn't trigger PEM. It can take years to realize with proper before and after testing (Workwell Foundation) to actually...

New Zealand Video: Exercise and ME/CFS, 2020, Lyn Hodges

No no no. I would have been considered "mild" in 2000. I was functioning at 80-90% as long as I got adequate rest in between activities. Some days I had to rest longer for whatever reason. I was not "restored" 3 days after exercise, yes I felt better, but I could not exercise...

Persistent symptoms after Covid-19: qualitative study of 114 long Covid patients and draft quality criteria for services, 2020, Greenhalgh et al.

How many of these services are experienced in post-infectious autonomic dysfunction? ME is so not about fatigue.

Coronavirus - worldwide spread and control

I have watched short interviews with some of the supporters attending the rally in Florida, many don't have any issues with contracting the virus and referring to it as the 'flu'. They don't trust Dr. Fauci. One women said if Trump told them to wear masks then they would wear them. One...

Amitriptyline Downregulates Chronic Inflammatory Response to Biomaterial in Mice, 2020, Scheuermann et al

to add . . . I'm not sure why the ME doctor prescribed it for me in the first place? I didn't have pain or any issues that would require any prescription except for a viral infection that was pretty much resolved by the time I saw him as a patient.
