United Kingdom: News from Forward-ME Group

I should emphasize that I certainly was not implying anything negative about Forward ME. Far from it. It's only the principle of what this place is or is not that I was referring to. And what that implies. Individuals are a separate concept. Given the cross-overs with sufficient involvement...

United Kingdom: News from Forward-ME Group

I believe a request could be considered based on the site wording, but not sure S4ME joining Forward ME would be prudent. There are some kernels of relevance in the overexcited analogy(!) of the judge, jury and executioner being kept separate. Less dramatically, the separation of powers...

A request to those involved in ME research to indicate their position on spinal surgery

Some org rep's have liked posts of surgery result images on Twitter, but many readers do not realise that Twitter likes do not equal endorsements and are often used merely to flag newsflow. At worst, it appears like an endorsement, at best, it confuses, at least before positions are explicitly...

A request to those involved in ME research to indicate their position on spinal surgery

A cross border legal mess of practically unaddressable impossibilities for most people in terms of restitution/recourse, I would assume. I'm out of date, but would assume that the law in most jurisdictions has not caught up with social media realities, even where all people are in one...

A request to those involved in ME research to indicate their position on spinal surgery

Thank you. Asking for caution versus overexcitment is not much to ask for. Authoritative holding statements of "the work hasn't been done for us to know, so I don't have opinion yet/I doubt it/maybe some people will turn out to be helped while others are harmed, but regardless it's not worth...

BTW the page is publicly viewable on the web without a Facebook account, if ever needed. Facebook is a social evil, but I'm prisoner in a few ways. I minimise the risk in a few ways, including via Facebook Container on Firefox on desktop. Stay free from the chains if you can ;)

It does indeed make sense. You can group articles by Collection (folder) or tag them with metadata keywords. But... You also explicitly link related items to achieve what I believe that you are describing: https://www.zotero.org/support/related

Independent advisory group for the full update of the Cochrane review on exercise therapy and ME/CFS (2020), led by Hilda Bastian

If there were an officially maintained S4ME, CureME, ME Association or whomever Zotero Group Library, that would be usable globally and accelerate the logistics of familiarisation and referencing in ME research. Put otherwise, you suddenly have a 'turn key solution' for writing ME articles...

Independent advisory group for the full update of the Cochrane review on exercise therapy and ME/CFS (2020), led by Hilda Bastian

Most sites, from journals, blogs, newspapers, wikis and more have their data easily importable in a click. Merging entries is also possible, which allows for easy addition of correct meta data by import, but never deleting, to ensure data integrity and not breaking citations in dependent...

I have not caught up with messages and threads, apologies to all for now whom I have not replied to. Difficult few days. ...based on @Michiel Tack on Twitter I noticed this thread and discussion about having a database, apparently to have a 'go to' single touch-point, a knowledge base of...
