    Autism and ME/CFS

Hello I see scatterings of conversations around this topic here but couldn't find a single thread which dealt with this overall assertion. That ME is late onset ASD and that PEM and autistic overload may be related. Naviaux seems to be the touch point, but I am asking regarding the overall...

    Gulf war syndrome vs "ME/CFS"

Thank you - very helpful. I do wonder how the PEM differs qualitatively/subjectively, but now that is merely my curiosity rambling. Pointless curiosity now my real Q is answered by the thread :)

Muchos gracias. So the only unifying features are merely personalities, economics and politics ;)

    Gulf war syndrome vs "ME/CFS"

At least axiomatically, ME and MCAS seem.to have a relationship, at the very minimum they have shared comorbidities in common methinks. I've never seen so many MCAS conversations before encountering ME tbh. Yes, at least some do get PEM according to the literature. NB I'd also imagine the...

    Gulf war syndrome vs "ME/CFS"

Very important if true. On the other hand, I'd also wonder whether there are any epidemiological papers that break down problems in prevalence measurements in veteran communities, given that they are habitually let down in society and fall off the grid. Such epidemiological evidence would be...

    Gulf war syndrome vs "ME/CFS"

All Having skimmed over contents over the past week, I can't see substantive difference between gulf war syndrome sufferers and being a pwME. I asked this due to its public policy and liability implications. Can anyone explain how gulf war syndrome is distinct from ME/CFS? I accept that there...

Assessment of the scientific rigour of RCTs on the effectiveness of CBT and GET for ME/CFS: a systematic review (2019) Ahmed et al

Not accounting for the existence of the existing biophysical research, however incomplete, doesn't imply sound motivationn or relevance either... Btw Is there a list of all 18 papers you mentioned?

Genetic analysis identifies molecular systems and biological pathways associated with household income, 2019, Hill et al

Yup, a number of variables explain/ correlate more usefully to socioeconomic differences/outcomes. You're right about gender and race, for example. But, out of curiosity, did the actual paper control for them? I can't read it. Regardless of the actual science, I think the mixed reaction to this...

Genetic analysis identifies molecular systems and biological pathways associated with household income, 2019, Hill et al

Two favourite lessons from my academic days (this thread reminding of the first, and that then reminding me of the second): "Granger Causation" is not sufficient to infer Causation, merely chrono structure. Hence, we always used the phrase that "x Granger causes y" to clarify that correlation...

Strategies for coping with cognitive difficulties

I think this thread has been very interesting. I kind of get the feeling that this is less of disorder per se, and more of a symptom of other things like ASD, ADD, ADHD. And those three are very possibly related anyway, with almost totally overlapping circles i.e. maybe the same thing. And...

    I would like to compete with you - I'm sure I know less about this :P Thanks @Andy @Londinium @Jonathan Edwards @Diluted-biscuit

Genetic analysis identifies molecular systems and biological pathways associated with household income, 2019, Hill et al

The Q that I took from this was different: whether researchers are looking at / pencilled in looking at the affect of ME on the genome/DNA in ways analogous to this article. I guess Ron Davis etc are, but my ignorance forces me to ask the question ignorantly to avoid making assumptions. I had...

I feel this thread is a little half-baked vs arming for success. I see practical narrative and benefits to synthesising and agreeing this thread (possible I've missed something). Sorry, I am playing devil's advocate, and from a position of newbie ignorance We lose in advance is we cannot...

Fair conclusion @Andy . Screams the need for proper lead tracking and funnelling in CRM software. Facilitates collaboration in the process i.e. sales/account management principles embodied in Customer Relationship Management software. Cloud based SAAS platforms exist.

I am not a lawyer exactly. My background is peculiar... I'll summarise me better another time. Sorry, I struggled to understand exactly, with how I'm feeling :( There were lots of posts flying around on it. Can you try to type/copy under the bullets I gave, as a legal case template? Easier to...
