Diabetes meds. What can you tolerate?

I’ve been put on DIAMICRON MR (gliclazide) and it’s not going well. Day 1 and 2 15mg and some side effects. But no improvement in BGLs. Day 3 30mg. A range of horrible side effects and ME much worse. No improvement in BGLs. Does anyone else with diabetes and ME have any experience with this...

    Masks for smog/smoke

@James Morris-Lent I’d be interested to know what you end up using. I have asthma and MCS. I live in a bushfire prone area and we were evacuated earlier this year due to a fire which devastated our area. The smoke hung around for weeks. More recent bushfires have brought more smoke. I have...

Dry eye syndrome and the subsequent risk of CFS — a prospective population-based study in Taiwan (2018) Tse-Yen Yang et al

    Physiotherapist for urinary frequency?

I’m in Australia. Physiotherapists can help with bladder control issues. They help with exercises to improve pelvic floor muscles. Bladder control issues are common in older people, post certain surgeries and post pregnancy. Not sure about children. I would be inclined to ask for more testing...

Arms hurting from tablet - what to do ?

@Dechi I seem to have become more vulnerable to straining muscles since ME. Also RSI type pain and burning after very little use of muscles. I have to limit how much time I spend on devices so that I don't trigger these problems. And then there's the fatigue associated with ME. Sometimes I...

Re-framing GET as pacing, or vice-versa

The most common suggestion from doctors I've seen in Australia is for me to exercise in a pool. Like people with arthritis and injuries. Then I have to explain why that won't work for me. In my experience doctors I've seen in Australia (apart from at the CFS Discovery Clinic) are particularly...

    Travelling tips anyone? (car)

In the early stages of my illness I struggled to travel 5 minutes in the car as a passenger. These days I can manage road trips. We have accepted that it will take longer to get where we want to go. I can go up to an hour and a half before I need to stop and rest. If I push on further I...
