Abstract: A group of debilitating health conditions disproportionately impacting women, increasingly known as ‘energy limiting conditions’, is associated with a long history of medical and societal disability denial. This article offers reflections on socio-cultural, bio-political and intrapsychic contributors to this denial, employing thinking consistent with critical psychology.
