    I remain bitter with Fauci's failure in the 80's but he has otherwise been a rather positive force in the Long Covid context. That makes me curious about the details of what happened. I assume he simply did not give it much thought and gave free rein to other people, but that's what leadership is about: succeed or fail, you're responsible.

    No discussion of funding or scope, but this has been needed for a long time (as long as it's accurate, which is never guaranteed with us).
