    And:
    • Contact the employer of the criticiser and suggest any or all of the items under the heading 'Relabel this person's actions'.
    • Imply that the criticiser has a mental disorder involving dysfunctional beliefs and that therefore their opinion is the product of a deluded mind.

    Also don't forget to mention that your grandfather was a war hero, who fought against oppression and the forces of evil. And then oh-so-subtly insinuate that you, as a scientist investigating therapies for children with ME, are in much the same situation; science itself is under threat from those who dare to challenge your own scientific research.

    Make accusations of death threats without providing any evidence of proof, apart from a threatening letter made from cut up newspaper headlines, which then turns out to be the work of a journalist you gave an interview to.

    Many years later, when giving a talk on how to avoid making your data public(?), claim that this same made-up letter was sent to you, when you are a completely different person and anatomical details in the letter means that it doesn't apply to you anyway.
