    Some good commentary on living with chronic illness and the misogyny in the medical system, but this article glosses over the fact that Jennifer Brea was subsequently diagnosed with CCI and tethered cord.

    Thanks for this. Says a lot of things that aren’t said enough.

    About relapsing-remitting conditions, about complex feelings in a remission (complete or partial both), and about how the dominant narrative of fighting and beating illness (something like breast cancer) forgets how ubiquitous is the relapsing part. How ever-present, in good times and in bad. And how that euphoria waits in the wings (telling the lie that I ever accepted how this is).

    Made me feel just a little bit proud of our endurance. thank you.
