    Hi @hellytheelephant, great advice.

More than 34 years in my case. Been there etc., etc.

All your advice and examples ring true for me, except I did get my mercury fillings out, and do chelations.

As you say, helly, and I'm paraphrasing here, run, don't walk away from the bad ones.

The really bad ones may nag and bug to get you to buy their garbage products. And they do promise the world. This will fix everything, they say.

When one is really ill, and trying to figure out this stuff with a brain and eyeballs that feel like someone is twisting them around, it's rather easy to get conned.

Desperation can run high - very high.

And, those who want to see you "forever". Not a good plan.

I hope naturopathic doctors who have more training than many in the alternative fields now take ME more seriously.

Probably wishful thinking though, as many of them likely still see this as a simple fix.

Thank very much for your article.

I wish advice such as yours had been out there 34 years ago, when you and I were slogging along trying to get better.

Just probably got myself barred from a FB page where people were offering a sufferer every pseudoscience cure this side of “thoughts and prayers”. I didn’t swear, but my god, the nonsense....

I have a simple guide: anything that claims to cure everything cures nothing.
