well as they can't even get the name right............
I'm not overcoming chronic fatigue, and there has been more than enough research on chronic fatigue.

Now can we please have some on M.E.

I want an 'improved, but still not on track' option.

What a frustrating poll. No could mean "not doing enough", or "doing the wrong thing". When I checked it was 40% yes and 60% no.

Edit: one can see how users from different countries voted. The UK voted 95% no.

There's a difference between being "on track" (which is the headline of the poll) and being "on the right track," which is the actual poll question. They are definitely on some kind of track, which is an improvement from 30 years of not being on any kind of track (the CDC's earlier studies were not done under the auspices of the NIH, as they are separate agencies).

They're currently engaged in massive data gathering, which is probably the best thing they could be doing at this point. The question is weather they have the funding to effectively carry this out. They're testing a relatively small number of patients and healthy controls on the assumption that their methods are powerful enough to overcome this limitation. They're also using recovered Lyme patients as controls because, I believe, they already have that data, thus making their inclusion an economical data set for comparison.

I don't know exactly what this poll is supposed to reflect. Since it is open to everyone, it really can't be assumed to reflect the views of patients.

A poll answered mainly by LP practitioners would no doubt indicate that EC's research was "on the right track."
