    I have to admit that when the call went out, I imagined 60 letters or so would be a fantastic response.

    To have 210 different individuals putting their names on record, and writing to the MRC to complain about the PACE trial authors is simply mind-blowing, and must surely put Dr Myhill's complaint in a strong position.

    Probably something like those dated 25th but sent by snailmail were still counted?

    Hi @Barry they initially said the final total was 207 but then revised it to 210 the following day.

    @NelliePledge, or anyone
    Do you know what is happening with Dr Myhill and the petition and letters? The initial closing date was 25/3, I think. We are 3 weeks on so do we know if there has been any response from the GMC?

    I keep an eye on Facebook and nothing has been posted as far as I’m aware I will update when I pick up any info. The petition is still open I haven’t seen a closing date.

    I wrote a letter and got a reply saying they are looking into it and will get back to me (they phrased it better than that)
    I imagine it will take them a while to go through everything they have been sent before they can respond.

    the petition is now 8428

    latest I saw on facebook from Craig Robinson was that they are still in discussion with the GMC on whether the complaints will be investigated - sounds like the discussions are quite challenging - he posted a link to the song "I wont back down"

    also on the topic of Dr Myhill - this time her call for a public inquiry MAIMES - 31 MPs have now signed up in support one of whom is Norman Lamb MP a previous holder, 2012-15,of the role of Minister of State at Department of Health. The role is currently held by Caroline Dinenage who responded to Carol Monaghan at the 30 minute debate in February.

    The recent informal assessment of the trial by Mike Godwin might help?

    Very pleased to see that my MP - Scott Mann - has adopted it. It's the first positive thing I have seen him do on ME.

    Added after clarification - he has not adopted it - HE has BEEN adopted by someone who will try to persuade him. Hope it wasn't me - I have had replies saying that he can't support EDMs due to his position as a (spokesman?).

    well its the most radical thing available to be going for as your first positive action in an area but credit to him for sticking his neck out

    I've just seen that our Prime Minister - Theresa May - is also an adopter!
