    Hi all,

Please consider completing this research survey from Marta Encefalomielitis Miálgica on Facebook's son :

Hello! I am a fourth-year student at the University of Aberdeen studying a joint honours degree in International Relations-Sociology. I am currently doing my Bachelor's dissertation on Myalgic Encephalomyelitis. You are being invited to take part in the study. Please take time to read the participant information sheet before you decide whether or not to take part in it.

I've just done the survey. It's quite straightforward, and you don't have to give your email address unless you volunteer to answer further questions. It's about where you get support, medical attitudes etc.

IMO the value of undergraduate research:
    • Intrinsic research value where done well
    • Seeding a future lack of ignorance, both academically and sociologically, within the undergraduate's networks
    • Normalisation of such research full stop, percolating up through and across supervisors

Yup, it was a very undemanding, easy breeze through. Not as heavy as many surveys :)

When I clicked on the Facebook link or the See More link, I didn't go through to the survey. I could momentarily see the web address. Apple Mac, not friendly enough with Facebook - not sure what my problem is.

But here's a link in case anyone else has the same problem.

Plus the fact that undergraduates need to do their research study in order to progress in their chosen field! It's rarely gonna be a groundbreaking study, but helping an undergraduate by participating in their research is a way to help people to achieve their potential. And to reduce the stress that's experienced by a final-year student when they're desperately praying that they'll get enough participants ;) My final year of uni was made extra stressful by hiccups with data collection.

Apparently it's been too successful(!), with 200+ responses and circa 100 for interview. Great problem to have!

Many thanks all on their behalf

Thanks for setting the closed tab. First time posting in this part of the forum and I didn't notice it :)
