They tried comparing their "harrassment" to that of animal rights activists at Mathees tribunal too, It was resoundingly condemned by the judge as baseless and exaggeration

Well I guess I must be on their list... Moderated on Co-Cure for a few years. Demonstrated outside DoH on May 12th I think 3 years on the trot, plus lobbied my MP in HoC too. Oh, and went to the Judicial Enquiry thingy too.

Trev doesn't have ME himself - his daughter does. Hence why he turns up at demos (or used to, it's over 10 years since we went to one). So as a "healthy" it was prob easier for him to make the sign.

I'm sure I used to have many more photos, but they've died in old computers I guess. I'm a bit lazy about uploading to Flickr. Or backing up anywhere else too.:rolleyes:

Of course we all know that's no ordinary walking stick that ladycatlover is clutching.

Were you frisked before entering the HoC for hidden compartments...poisoned tips and the like...

I think there was a cursory glance into John's ruck sack and my handbag. In fact afterwards I remembered I was actually carrying a knife in my bag! :arghh: Only a tiny one, in a Victorinox Swiss Card (check it out in the usual places), but very sharp and I reckon you could do serious damage to a person with it!

Nearly got shot on our way out one year though! Sitting in my wheelchair waiting for a cab to arrive, chatting to the very nice policeman with a machine gun in his hands... Cab arrives, I pick up my metal folding walking stick that I had along the side of the wheelchair and shook it to open it. It goes click click click rather loudly, next minute that machine gun is pointed at me! :emoji_scream: Fortunately the copper saw the funny side, and helped John fold up wheelchair while I got into cab. Was a bit of a scary moment though! :emoji_rolling_eyes:

Goodness, what a militant, radical and active horde. No wonder Esther is so terrified and Wessely prefers Afghanistan.

Heh, quite. If the Sunday Times had used that actual photograph of 'ME militants' instead of a letter they made up themselves (oh, British journalism, where did it all go wrong?) people would have thought it must be April 1st.

Thank goodness they assigned two policemen to keep an eye on you and protect democracy. Although I can't help wondering whether 2 policemen for 10 ME militants is enough? I expect they've got backup round the corner if things get tasty.

I'm certain the riot squad was sitting in an unmarked van parked round the corner just in case they all kicked off.

A thought: If a parent of a sick child sent Dr. Crawley an angry letter, I don't think she would be able to use it, not without revealing that the people that are angry at her are her own patients and their families. I think she is building her narrative on the blueprint set out by Simon Wessely - that is "my own patients love me, it is these other crazies out there that are harassing me."

I also think if a parent of a sick child sent Dr. Crawley an angry letter, it would probably discuss what the parent was angry about. It might even be very articulate. The fact that EC is likely to have received complaints from parents of sick children goes nowhere near establishing that she has received anything like the fictional letters from the Sunday Times. If she says she has, she can show us a real one. Until then I don't believe her.
