I realise that smilie might actually seem to be suggesting something a bit weird and unsavoury - sorry about that.

    That's cool.
I seem to remember the series was quite ground breaking in how much they showed, erm, happy male bits! But many early religions were centred around sex and creation, so it was vital to the plot really.

Given the direction this thread is going to, I have to recommend all men to watch the ''L world'' (TV show about lesbian lives). Some intriguing scenes... ;)

Dude. Rather be Briene in that scenario!

Liked the OA too, although yes, very weird. And I'm in the middle of the Stranger Things new season -- watching it with a housemate and trying to only watch one ep per evening to make it last... it's so tough!

I must share my newfound passion for South Korean film and TV. It all started with The Stranger on netflix, which I watched because it had that kick ass Korean woman from Sense8, Doona Bae.

Then I got into the films.

Loved "The House that Disappeared" It was a really cool supernatural thriller, but also a powerful human story too.

Also "Vanishing Time", where a group of teenagers living on an island accidentally encounter a mysterious object that causes time to go thousands of times slower for those affected than for everyone else in the world.

I found them all surprisingly powerful, and kind of refreshing.

    All on netflix.

Me too! Its so fresh and different, eh? And great comic actors, all of them.

I loved that too @Andy, and I'm usually not a spaceship kind of gal.

I was toying with the idea of this show yesterday as i need something new to watch - was worried it might be a bit scary - but your review of it makes it sound good.

Anyone LOVE the 100 on Amazon Prime? - i was addicted.

Im afraid i had to buy it. I became really ill this year attempting t go on holiday - i was basically broken by the time we got there, had a massive allergic reaction to food on the way and soent twoo weeks in bed recovering and eating 4 foods. Im still only up to 10 foods now and it took me three months to recover from the trip home enough to be able to walk inside the house again.

When we were on the 'holiday' i promised myself that if i made it home alive (three day car journey) then i would buy myself the last season.

How awful, @Justy. Holidays are supposed to give you a break, not break you. Still, season 4 of The 100. Every cloud.........

Anyone watch Under the Dome? As with most shows, it got increasingly daft with each series but it passed the time.

def check out the ones I mentioned, @Woolie -- also 'Coffee Prince', although it seems to have disappeared from Netflix. :(

Whoa guys, I just DEVOURED 'Alias Grace', a Margaret Atwood adaptation. WOW. On tenterhooks the entire time, I HIGHLY recommend.

Looking forward to seeing it now!

Any other K films you suggested that I missed?

I saw this maybe three years ago when it came out, @Justy. Macabre is not the word. As the episodes progress, it just tailspins into ever more bleakness, violence, and dark humour. I stuck it out till the extremely dark end, but refuse to watch season 2.

    Just warning you there...

Shit, @Justy, if you can watch Utopia, then you can watch the Expanse. Utopia makes the Expanse look like a kids' show.

I quite like some of the reality programmes.

I enjoyed watching the second series of Below Deck. The female captain was interesting to watch, very cool, calm in her decision making. I missed seeing the first series but am looking forward to seeing it eventually..

I do watch a few of the Real Housewives series, New York, Beverly Hills, Orange Country.

Married at First Sight. I'm watching the 1st New Zealand series at the moment and apart from one couple the rest are not getting on at all.

I've got a bit bored with the latest cooking ones, like Masterchef, Kitchen Rules. So am giving them a miss this time round.

I can't remember all the others I watch at the moment
