I confess I've only read the abstract. My answer is simple.

I don't want any umbrella term.

A doctor can tell me 'you have ME', or 'I don't know what is wrong with you but I'll try to help you find out'.

Any other attempt at naming or putting me under an umbrella is part of a cynical process to lump me in with other poor souls whose symptoms have not been properly investigated, to refuse us proper investigation, and to fob us all off with crap psychotherapies.

Edit to add: I just took a break to forage for food. I'm now even more steamed up about this crap. @Dolphin I don't want to contaminate your thread with a lot of venting, so I'll go to the angry thread to let off steam.
