    Hi all,

This is our new thread for people to discuss problems they're having with weight gain due to illness, and to plan strategies for addressing them. (I know some people have the opposite problem. It sucks either way)

We plumper folk are all sick of hearing from the healthies about how we need to work out regularly.

This is a place to talk about what might work for us. And to share goals, successes and generally offer support.

    Woolie

I'm still here, barely finding time/energy to eat, but what I am eating is really, really, quite bad for me - damn minimum orders.

This morning I had re-found the kilo I had lost....
I’m trying to convince myself that it’s because I feel so exhausted, I actually weigh more.
If you could all agree with me on that, I would be grateful!

I didn't manage to keep up or say anything on the PR thread, but yeah, can't say I wouldn't be happy to get rid of a few kilos...

Whatever works for you, so of course I agree with you Daisybell.
    .

Personally, I just stand on a circle of paper, shout "I've not put on weight", remove my glasses, and step on to my so unreliable scales; moving your scales helps some also, I've discovered a spot on my floor that does the trick just nicely when in need. For those of you who don't have need of glasses, just 'squint' real hard.

Wishing everyone improved health, and the loss of those unwanted extra kilos. John :)

I put on 2.5 stone since being ill, then managed to lose 1.5 in the last year as I felt better, now I'm feeling crap and the pounds are sneakily jumping back on.

I was slightly on the porky side before illness.

I spend my life looking forward to the next meal. I go to sleep so excited about breakfast it worries me.

    Do I qualify?

Yep Woolie, count me in...still fat but this week I lost 2.5 lb :)

    Only 25 more to go

Was thinking we needed it. I am also still tweaking my oatcake recipe so I will need to post that somewhere for those that care.

    :D:D:D!!!!

Yea, it helps if you lean your hand against the sink at the same time. Instant weight loss, works every time.

Yes, obviously. Things are weighing heavily on your mind. So you weigh more. Its the mind-body connection, you see. Although there are still some stupid cartesian dualists out there who believe your thoughts and feelings can't affect your weight.

Seriously, that's majorly dispiriting, @Daisybell. But if you're successfully losing fat, your weight won't go down in a smooth line, will it? It'll go down like a jagged sawtooth. Downs then ups then downs. This is just the upswing of one of the teeth, right? I honestly think this is pretty much true.

Love your new avatar, by the way. Welcome to the fat farm!

Yea, totally. If you want to do something about it, that is. It all depends where you're at.
That's amazing, @arewenearlythereyet! I see that a lot's been happening since you left PR. 25lb to go, that's about where I am.

Good to see you in Fatties 2.0. Looking forward to that oatcake recipe. Did you post it and I missed it?

    @Woolie thanks!
This is one of my highland cattle!
49 inches between the tips of his horns..... friendly but slightly too boisterous. Caution and stick necessary. :p:eek:

No I was going to then thought I would wait until I had perfected it. I'm doing a dairy free version at the moment. :)

Really? I didn't know you lived on a farm. I heard a story about how Highland cows were imported into NZ. In semen vials, which naturally took many generations....

Only a ‘lifestyle block’ otherwise known as too much land to be able to sit on one’s arse, and not enough to make any money from.....
