    I'm not sure one would use the word 'integrity' wrt Goldacre given he won't point the finger at his mukkers over PACE.

    Sile Lane from Sense About Science is another dodgy one too. Looks like it could be dominated by those who merely present as being committed to research integrity.

    This pretty much sums it up for me. Anyone can say that they are about research integrity, high standards, transparency etc. but words are cheap and when you look at what people actually do in terms of actions and in-actions, in some cases you see a contrasting picture. Good to see a committee looking at these issues but it's likely to be limited by its input. Can the public have any input?

    There were minutes from the MRC published somewhere (I think as an appendix in a welfare report) where Sile Lane and MRC representatives signed up to saying that FoI and parliamentary questions were harassment. I assume she will give the same message to the select committee that if they ask questions that is harassing researchers.
